What is the difference between HP 12A and HP 12X?
HP 12A / Q2612A is the standard version with approx. 2,000 pages. HP 12X / Q2612X offers approx. 2,500 pages and is suitable when a little more page yield is desired.
Are the toner cartridges ready to use immediately?
Yes, the compatible toner cartridges are equipped with a chip. This means they can be inserted directly – without separate chip replacement or additional preparation.
When do I need an OPC drum?
An OPC drum / image drum is useful if printouts show streaks, shadows, repetitions or uneven black coverage despite sufficient toner. Replacement should be carried out cleanly and carefully.
When does toner powder make sense?
Toner powder is suitable for experienced users, workshops or service companies that refill cartridges professionally. Clean work, suitable filling quantities and an intact cartridge are important.
Is the HP LaserJet 1020 a colour printer?
No, the HP LaserJet 1020 is a black-and-white laser printer. It is particularly suitable for text documents, invoices, forms and simple graphics in black and white.
Can the HP LaserJet 1020 print automatically on both sides?
The HP LaserJet 1020 supports manual duplex printing via the driver. Automatic duplex printing is not part of this model’s equipment.
What should I do if printing is pale or streaky?
Check the toner level, the correct seating of the cartridge, the paper quality and print a test page. If streaks recur, the OPC drum may also be worn or dirty.
Can firmware updates affect compatible toner cartridges?
