Do the toners fit the 150a and 150nw identically?

Yes. Both variants of the 150 series use HP 117A toners (W2070A–W2073A). Differences concern connectivity (150a: USB; 150nw: USB, Wi-Fi, Ethernet), not the consumables.

Do I need to consider anything during installation?

Before inserting the cartridge, briefly rock it horizontally, remove the protective cover/seal and slide the toner in using the guide groove. Then print a test page.

Do firmware updates affect compatible cartridges?

Sometimes, yes. Automatic updates can restrict use. Check/deactivate automatic updates on the device or in the HP Smart App. Details & tips: read the guide.

When should the imaging drum or waste toner container be replaced?

No later than when the corresponding message appears on the device. Guide values: imaging drum up to approx. 16,000 p. (black) or 4,000 p. (color); waste toner container up to approx. 7,000 p. Please follow the instructions in the driver/display.

What should I do if there are streaks or pale colors?

First check the toner level and run a cleaning/gradation process via the device settings. Is the cartridge seated correctly? If necessary, change the paper quality and print a test page.
